0700:There is a thick veil of frozen mist covering the grassy landscape. You can hear the tinkling of the crystals floating in the air, smell the crisp freshness of the woodland pines mixed with the essence of cow. (Yes, it's Banks)
A 'tangy" hue dances across the sky announcing this morning's arrival of the glowing orb peeking above the horizon. Slowly re-kindling life out of its nightly repose. The stiff grass bows to it's warmth allowing the frozen crust to fall and begin it's return to the cycle of water.
0830:Yet Grothar appears to enjoy his icy embrace, the arctic wind lightly brings the clouds that sheild us from the suns warmth. The wind dies and we are left with a dense fog enveloping the frigid countryside.
Coffee maker groaning, spewing forth its warm, nutty brew in an effort to arouse my senses and soothe my palate. Dessert in a cup....."slurp".
Good Morning everyone.....

ReplyDeleteand I remember when you where just a kid,18. you where a skinny little thing! but as we age...things slow down, and for some reason we are working harder than we did back then. why? because we where to young to notice change around us, life was all about us. self centered i guess, but we knew how to laugh and play. we had ENERGY
ReplyDeleteI am attempting to follow a program through Take shape for life. Type that into google and you can peruse the website. These last few days have been difficult,as I am home and cooking for the week. As I make myself something healthy, my family "the boys" come eat it up, thinking it is a new treat. Or while I am eating fish AGAIN, the others are chowing down on a succulant rib eye. Or I get stuck on this damn comp browsing the website for low cal meals, catching up with old friends on FACEBOOK, next thing I know a couple hours have gone by and I have not eaten, and I missed the kick boxing class I wanted to attend. Basically, I am trying to get a routine down. Eat every 2-3 hours about 100-150 calorie "meal" and then sometime during the day work in a LEAN & GREEN meal with about 300-500 calories. I am trying to stay below 1200 calories a day. Some days are better than others.
ReplyDeleteHang in there. It can be tough but it will be worth it at the end. Bobby and I are now working out at 24Hour - our goal is to keep and stay healthy. It is hard even for us to watch what we eat, and get up and work out at the gym . . . But you're having a great start and you are motivated. If you want to join us at 24 hour fitness, let us know... Ever considered doing this as to stay healthy rather than losing weight??? It always sounds more positive...
ReplyDeleteHI Jeannie! Thanks for commenting! Healthy is the thing to be I agree. However I do eat quite healthy, with of course the occasional "binge". My problem has been that I gained those 80 or so pounds within about 6 months. I have lost about 20 of it. And I will not lose it without something drastic changing for a short period of time, much like when it come on. I Believe that once I lose the "tonage" I will easily be able to keep it off. My activities are twice what they used to be, I eat regularly and smaller portions. I just need this "boost", Which is why I am on the NW Health Challenge. Check my websites and you'll see it's a program about becoming fit, not just weight. More later..I am off to the batting cages. TTFN
